There are also many cultural and historical places to visit here, and whether you want lively city life, full of people and fiestas, or quiet sleepy villages with goats strolling down the streets, then this region has it all.
Beaches/ ski station
El Bancal is ideally situated being just 35 minutes drive to the coast, 1 hour from Granada and the Alhambra and 10 minutes to the Sierra Nevada national park. Trips in winter to the Sierra Nevada ski station take about 1 ½ hours. Órgiva, the capital or the Apujarra Region, is just 10minutes away and the famous white Alpujarran villages are 25 minutes drive.
